Following on from the post showing some of my sketchbook ideas, this is an example of one of the sketches that I have taken to a further stage. This is just a 3D mock-up. There are no plans to produce an actual product at this stage. However, if any plush manufacturers out there are interested, feel free to get in touch. :)

A lot of my Candykiller work is ultimately produced on the computer. However, pretty much everything I do starts out as a sketch. These are the steps I generally follow to produce a finished piece of work. I first work out my ideas in pencil in a Moleskine sketchbook. I then work over them in pen, refining the drawing as I go, then erase the original pencil work. If I feel that an idea is worth following through to a finished piece, I scan the sketchbook drawing and use it as a guide to work over on the computer. Here are scans of some of my recent sketchbook pages. Click here for larger version.

I have a few more original Candykiller paintings up for sale. You can view the work in more detail here, here and here. If you are interested in any of the paintings, please send me an email message and we can work things out from there. I will mark the pieces as SOLD as soon as they are gone. If you would like to be notified about upcoming original work in general, just drop me a line and I will add your name to the list.

In the run up to the full size Jackrabbit figures, Wheaty Wheat Studios will first release a cool little Jackrabbit keychain. These will be available in the same 3 colours as the large figures and will retail for around $5.99. The keychains should be available in April or at the latest, May. Photos of the keychain will follow when available.
